An Overview of the DirectConnect Internet Connection Process and Network Access Control Systems

Bella Apartments

A website design created for a group of more than a dozen affiliated rental apartment complexes spread throughout Arizona. Features include an image gallery, integrated Walk Score map, and an online form used for residents to request maintenance work on their apartments.

Bigfork ARTFusion Gallery

A unique hierarchical image and art gallery system and administrative management interface created in PHP specifically for use by Bigfork ARTFusion, a contemporary art gallery located in Bigfork, Montana.

DCOHome v2

One of my first large-scale team programming projects. This was a collection of smaller projects either taking the form of translating existing applications from ColdFusion to PHP or creating new modules and features from scratch in PHP.

DCOHome v3

A large web application built using a MVC architecture for The University of Montana which provides interfaces, APIs, and services used and interacted with on a daily basis by students, employees, and other servers and services at UM.

Digital Signage Conversion

Research, implementation, and enhancement of an open-source digital signage solution for the University of Montana in order to eliminate thousands of dollars each year in recurring software licensing costs.

Elevator Simulator

A computer simulation of a building with a defined number of floors and a defined number of elevators to transport people between floors in that building. A highly modular design would have easily allowed this same design to act as a management console for a set of real physical elevators in such a building.

GigaShock Website and IVR

The expanded public website and interactive voice response automated telephone system created for GigaShock, LLC, the web development and technology services company I founded in 2007.

Hoot (Howl Box)

The design and implementation of an automated device responsible for provoking and subsequently capturing wildlife calls which could be studied for research purposes.

New Homes Reward Realty

A website, CMS, and separate blog designed and developed for an Arizona-based real estate brokerage firm, New Home Rewards Realty Brokerage. Site included searchable home listings and groupings by master planned communities, all managed by the site owners through a CMS.

O'Leary Builders

A website for O'Leary Builders of Great Falls, MT. Includes a custom CMS and photo album management system created using the Kohana PHP framework, allowing the site owner to independently manage all aspects of the site.

Pascal Balls

One of my first graphical programs written in Pascal during a high school programming course. Generates a number of colored balls which bounce according to real-time user selectable vertical and horizontal gravity.

ResNet Symposium 2010 Presentation at WWU

I was a presenter at the ResNet Symposium 2010 conference in Bellingham, WA. We describe the features of the network access control system I helped develop for the University of Montana, Missoula's DirectConnect network.

Seeley Lake Chamber of Commerce

After the design of the Seeley Lake Chamber of Commerce site was finished I was tasked with adding a new admin module allowing the site administrators to manage banner ads throughout the public portion of their website.

Sheri Nagy Artist

A website for local Missoula artist, Sheri Nagy. Includes a custom built CMS and gallery management system created using the Kohana PHP framework, allowing the site owner to independently manage all aspects of the site.

Thin Client Deployment

Researched, tested, purchased, configured, and implemented hundreds of thin client terminals and the associated firmware and configuration management server used by the University of Montana's Division of Student Affairs to provide university staff and students with centrally hosted virtual desktops.

TSunriseBey Designs

The setup, configuration, and integration of a website and Magento e-commerce store for TSunriseBey Designs, a creator of mother nature inspired geocoins, pendants and pins located near Helena, Montana.

University Bookstore Kiosk

A project focused on the study of human-computer interaction, extensive requirements gathering, and iterative design and development of a graphical user interface appropriate for a set of hypothetical kiosks that would be placed throughout the campus bookstore at the University of Montana, Missoula.

Wendigo (DHCP Server)

A fully functional custom DHCP server built in two parts, a Java server responsible for sending and receiving low-level network traffic and a web service with APIs used to make dynamic leasing decisions on the fly.
