This presentation was done while I was an RTA Coordinator with Student Affairs IT at the University of Montana, Missoula.

The following is a presentation given by Adam Ormesher and myself at ResNet Symposium 2010, a weeklong technology conference hosted by Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. In this presentation Adam and I discuss the development and implementation of the home-grown network access control solution I helped created which is used to secure the DirectConnect network at the University of Montana, Missoula. Description: During this session, the University of Montana will overview network-level policies and their home-grown Network Access Control solution currently being used to manage and maintain in-room network service for students. This will include descriptions of methods being used to maintain associations between endpoint devices with residents, enforce registration requirements on network devices, and enforce bans on devices or students who violate the UM Student Conduct Code or terms of use.
